Great little machine

Pro's* Heats up very quickly* You can buy capsules at the supermarket* If a guest likes milk in their drinks it does that* Can use it as a hot water dispenser for tea, quicker than a kettle and the water isn't quite boiled but is still hot enough and this is better for tea.* Auto settings for dispensing water are very handy. Much better to have one with this feature than the version without.* Cup rest is adjustable* £10 to spend in the Dolce Gusto shop online - they do promotions like spend £25 get free postage, so with the £10 I just paid £15 and got free postage.Cons* Water tank needs filling up quite a bit* Capsules do leak after you take them out. You can press on the top and expunge the water but it is a bit of a hassle so if you see water in the bottom of your bin this could be the culprit.* It drips after* Sometimes the needle doesn't fully retract and you have to fuss about a bit to get the capsule out.* Capsule recycling isn't an option where I live and you would have to faff cleaning out the coffee.Yes I was really sad but I measured out each bar because the ml and bars didn't seem to match, you'd have two drinks according to DG that need 2 bars but different ml given so I decided to test and it doesn't matter what capsule you use you get the following mls per bar:1 = 50ml2 = 70ml3 = 90ml4 = 125ml5 = 150ml6 = 175ml7 = 230ml

Check the prices first

This is the new version of the Piccolo but offered at varying prices on Amazon so check carefully. Mine is despatched by them and although it said 3-5 weeks delivery I had the item within a week.Extremely easy to use and produces wonderfully quick and tasty coffee. My preference is for a fairly strong tasting long coffee so I use Americano, Grandeb Crema or Lungo pods and also purchased a Hostess Milk Frother from Amazon to go with this for its versatility with hot or cold drinks and have found it works very well. I do wish Nescafe would produce boxes of just plain milk capsules though.After looking around the pods are cheaper here than Ebay or The Dolce Gusto site as delivery is free if you select that.

fantastic little machine - makes great coffee.

Needed a new coffee maker when my old machine finally died on me. Thought I would try the Genio as on offer at a good price & only wanted a small machine - not disappointed as it's great & unlike some little machines you can choose how much water goes through to suit your taste.
