Which is why the IMPRESSA C9 leaves the choice of coffee beans entirely up to you. A wealth of setting and programming options guarantee a coffee experience entirely to your liking, because ultimately it's all down to your good taste. Keeping things clean Whenever you're using milk, absolute hygiene is critical. And to prevent the formation of residues that might adversely affect the flavour or consistency of your coffee, the IMPRESSA C9 features an automatic cappuccino rinsing system as well as a cappuccino cleaning program. Combined with a range of special JURA maintenance products, this gives you guaranteed cleanliness, all at the touch of a button.

Simple and intuitive in operation
With its clear text display, readily understandable symbols and Rotary Switch, the IMPRESSA C9 couldn't be easier to operate. Simply by turning and pressing the switch, you navigate your
way through the programming options while the display provides clear text feedback. Which means you get where you want to go, quickly and directly.

Ecologically sensitive
The IMPRESSA C9 features the JURA Energy Save Mode (E.S.M.©). This keeps power consumption low if the machine is not used for any length of time. Automatic switch-off at any time can be simply programmed, and the mains switch can be used to interrupt the power supply so that no standby energy is used.

Bottom of the range but top of the range coffee

The C9 is the "bottom" of the "one touch" range. As far as I could tell, the C9 makes the same coffee as the top of the Jura range. The differences being a restricted range of settings. So the C9 only lets you set 3 water temperatures rather than specifying degrees C for the water. Same with drink strength, Strong, Medium or mild rather than specifying the coffee in grams. That's about it really, brew mechanism, the same, milk frother, the same, cappuccino making, the same.So to coffee. It makes brilliant ristretto, espresso and lungo (a longer extraction). Americano's are easy to make too as hot water can be dispensed either to a prescribed amount or just tap a button to stop it. Cappuccinos are a doddle, just place cup and press the button. The milk foam is very robust, even with low fat milks and making it in a glass looks great.You will definitely need to try different beans and tinker with the settings to get the perfect cup for you, but everyone who has had coffee from the C9 thinks it's marvellous. In fact, friends visit much more often and we drink loads more coffee! Maybe I should start charging?It does prompt for a lot of cleaning to ensure everything keeps going, but it's easy too.Best of all, it's a pleasure to use as each coffee brings a smile to my face. Expensive, yes, worth it, most definitely.UPDATE nearly a year on and another benefit. It seems that coffee bean quality is less significant in making good coffee than with other methods. I am now buying bulk arabica at just over £5 per kilo with no loss of flavour. To say I am happy with this product is an understatement, it's marvellous!UPDATE 2 - Two years on and it's still going strong with no problems. It's used every day and has been faultless.

Didn't know what I was missing - makes perfect cappuccinos, hot chocolate and espressos. Simple to clean and operate. Even received a free gift of coffee mugs, coffee beans, chocolates and Jura whiskey after I sent in my warranty form - great service.

Really nice coffee and so easy to use. Would recommend to anyone with espresso addicts or latte lovers in their company!
