Excellent coffee maker

Easy to use and makes very good coffee, very quickly.Three criticisms to dispel:1) Some reviewers have commented that it is easy to pull out the coffee basket when removing the carafe, risking spilling coffee grounds. This has not been our experience. Everything stays put if the unit is properly assembled, which is very easy to achieve; indeed the brew process will not proceed unless the basket and carafe are properly located;2) Some have complained that the coffee does not stay hot for long. The insulated carafe is lined with stainless steel, which is obviously a lot more durable than glass. If you want to keep the coffee hot longer, just pre-heat the carafe by filling it with boiling water while you grind the coffee, then pour the water back into the kettle before starting to brew.3) I have also seen one report of the brew basket dripping for a long time. Again, this has not been our experience; the drip stop works fine on our unit.The shower head method of transferring water into the brew basket certainly seems to infuse the grounds evenly, but it can cause some grounds to splash upwards onto the underside of the water dispenser above: the more coffee you use the more likely it is that you will have to wipe the residue away. I think this is a small price to pay for such good flavour.
