Militta Look Deluxe Coffee Maker

I bought this Melitta Look Deluxe coffee maker from Unifit and I couldn't believe it when it arrived the next morning, less than 24hrs, so well worth the P&P!I must say this is the only coffee maker I've found so far that makes lovely coffee hot enough to E N J O Y! The only one that I have found which states the brewing temperature of 93C. Its German build means, I'm sorry to say, that it's a far better design and quality than most others. As a bonus it also LOOK'S GREAT too on the kitchen worktop. It's also easy to use, you can fill the machine from either side with ease. The glass jug pours with no dribbles at all and I don't have to pull it out from under the cupboards to fill it up, also when it's brewing it releases very very little steam, only a tiny amount at the end of brewing. It has an unusual drip arrangement which I've never seen before but really works well. On the top it has an aroma knob which I have set to strong and gives the coffee real depth of flavour, and the top lid is sprung loaded so stays open when lifted and has a latch so that when you close it it actually clips shut - brilliant! Also when you lift the lid to clean it any water and condensation on the inside of the lid just trickles back into the reservoir and not over the work surface. Everything about this machine just seems to be so well thought out, and I love it!Just a few things people should know which is no problem for me and mine, there is no permanant filter with this machine, the filter holder holds the size 4 filter papers, Personally I prefer these anyway. Also it comes with a two pin plug, but included in the box is a three pin adapter plug which the two pin securely fits into and is safely enclosed with a screw holding it even more securely. Oh, and the cup markings going down the plastic on the glass jug are very small, but the cup markings on either side of the water reservoir are so clear it doesn't really matter. Last of all the electric cable can be stored in the back of the machine but there is no flap opening to do this, the cable has to be pushed backwards into the small hole that it comes out of and the cable sort of curls around inside.Yes it's only plastic, but the most important thing for a coffee maker is that it makes good hot coffee and secondly it LOOKS great quality too, and is so well designed that I would definately recommend this machine :-)

This item arrived next day and was without doubt worth the postage.Over the years I have had many,many coffee filter machines and without doubt, this is the best that I have ever had.I was a little nervous buying this on the strength of one review, but I am glad that I followed my instinct.It is very well made, although it is mainly plastic, and it is the hottest coffee that I have tasted from a "home" filter machine.It was very hot on first cup, and although it was a shock to my poor lips the second cup poured after five or so minutes was even hotter. The strength knob on the top is also a boon and I found that the depth of flavour was superb ( I had it at the strongest setting).To close, I am beyond pleased with this coffee machine!Mervyn Abraham

I have bought many coffee machines and looked for a long time before buying this model. Dont look any further-this is the best value filter maker on the market bar none - period.Ive had it a couple of months now and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes filter above these fancy machines on the market for £100's.
