Absolutely fabulous!

I've considered buying a coffee machine for quite some time to replace my daily visit to Costa and therefore save some money. Having tried some other pod / capsule type machines at work and being very disappointed with the results, I initially didn't even consider this machine instead looking at espresso and bean to cup machines.My decision was then influenced by a visit to a department store where the staff member raved about the Nespresso machine and the quality of the coffee. I decided to do some research and saw that not only was it cheaper than bean to cup machines but also got fantastic reviews so decided to take the chance and purchase it. I opted for the Pixie due to it's size (doesn't take up much space) along with the the Aeroccino 3 as I particularly like Lattes.I've got to say I'm so pleased with my purchase. It's so simple to use, very quick ... in around 1 minute my Latte is ready, and very easy to clean. What's more, the coffee tastes great ... in my opinion it's as good (if not better) as anything I've had from the high street coffee shops. The Aeroccino heats the milk to the perfect temperature, not too hot / not too cold. It's also fun when you've got friends or family visiting. My 9-year old niece recently visited for the weekend and was making lattes and cappucinos all by herself!If you're looking for something decent without a hefty price tag, then this is definitely worth considering!

amazing! looks good, and really easy to use

A while ago we bought a coffee machine (non pod/capsule) with milk frothing wand. After a (very short) while we stopped using it as it is such a nuisance both to make the coffee/milk and to clean up after. I bought this after seeing similar machines in friends' houses, but went for one with the aeroccino as I do like cappuccino and latte.The reason I chose this model is that the drip tray folds up to fit a tall cup/mug/glass underneath.One of the things that had put me off the capsule route was cost - here on amazon the nespresso capsules are around 50p a pop, but reading advice from reviewers if you get them direct from nespresso they are about 30p (depending on variety).The machine is compact, attractive and appears very well made. Same goes for the aeroccino. Heat up time is quick, there are 2 settings - small and large, which can be programmed to your own requirements if you want. Making a coffee is fast and simple - heat up, lift bar, insert pod, lower bar and press required button (large/small) - start to finish probably quicker than boiling a kettle.The aeroccino has 2 whisks (magnetic, so very easy to fit/change/wash) one for very frothy (hot or cold) and one for hot milk (with a bit of froth). Really quick and easy to use - choose whisk and pop it in, add milk (cold semi/whole), press button, done!It says the whole unit (not the base!) is waterproof, but I don't much fancy immersing it due to the contacts underneath - I have found it no trouble at all to clean it inside with a soapy cloth and rinse it out. The container for the milk only goes about half way down (the motor is in the bottom half) so it is easy to reach the bottom.There is a neat covered storage for the whisk that is not in use on the base.The coffee itself is good, and both types of hot milk give very professional looking results. The froth for cappuccino is the best I have seen, and lasts too. It says you can do enough milk for 2. I think you might struggle to get 2 lattes out of it, but haven't tried yet. I use about half the max indicated which does a (not over large) cappuccino.So I'm very happy with this and would recommend it.Anyone want my old machine!?...
