great coffee bad jug

this makes a very good cup of coffee and its very well made that is apart from the cheap jug every time you wash it the lid comes off why spoil a good product and replacement jugs are not cheap owing to size come on kenwood fix this and you would get 5 stars maybe you will send replacement jug i hope?

Good machine-- but BEWARE!! It starts leaking after 3-4 months

A really robust and good-looking machine which makes a decent cup of coffee, BUT... The main problem is that it runs well for a couple of months or so, but then, it starts leaking, often so badly that it becomes quite dangerous to use. I've had two of these: 1) bought the first one in December 2012. It worked fine for 3-4 months, then it started leaking profusely. 2) After complaining, I was assured that this was one of those random and unfortunate things and, by replacing it with a brand new one, I was assured that this problem would not happen again. Yet, after two months, exactly the same problem occurred! I have now returned it and, I will be shopping for a different model. Definitely NOT a Kenwood one.

Looks great, pretty compact, incredibly easy to use. Only problem is I can detect a very minimal taste of plastic due to the filter but I'm only halfway through my first coffee with this machine, and I'm drinking a fairly weak coffee so I expect this wont be a repeat problem. I'd recommend this given the price and it'll certainly jazz up your kitchen a bit.
