Life Expectancy

I've had this machine for almost 4 years. It hasn't been heavily used, probably less than once a week. It produced good coffee and the steam frother attachment heats and froths milk enabling you to make nice capuccino. Bit of a pain to try and keep the stainless steel shiny - but no more difficult than any other stainless steel kitchen appliance.But after what doesn't seem like so much use the pump seems to have given up the ghost. Maybe I got a defective one but I'd advise researching reliability before purchasing.

Great coffee but fiddly operation

This Gaggia was a Christmas gift for my girlfried. It made great coffee but the water would collect in the coffee filter and drip everywhere when you removed it to clean it. She found this a bit fiddly so I asked the seller if I could return it. WITH NO FUSS THEY TOOK IT BACK. Even arranged to have it collected. It did not cost me a penny. MARIO was particularly helpful. Great service. Shame about the product. I have now bought her a Magimix/Nespresso which is great. Will write a review about that separately after we have had more use.
