Coffee away from home is a disappointment; this produces GREAT coffee.

It took a week or so to learn how to use this machine. It replaced a Philips Senseo which gives good coffee at the touch of a button. This is a little more complicated, set the grind, set the strength, set the amount of coffee, set the amount of water, learn to froth milk. It sounds like a lot, but it is really worth the effort and pretty soon you learn what is good. It is worth going through all the settings, but I recommend leaving everything at the default level until you understand why you would want to change it. I now get a really good cafe latte reliably.The machine cleans itself fairly well at switch on and switch off. The waste tray is easy to empty, although the coffee grounds do seem to spill slightly into the water tray rather than remain confined to their pot. I haven't yet done the full clean of the mechanism. Build quality is good.It seems like an expensive machine, but price per cup is well below something like the Senseo or the Nespresso custom pods, so over a year or maybe two it will easily repay the capital cost in lower running costs - depending on how much coffee you drink. It also delivers high quality coffee with an easy to clean steam pipe.

Very nice, functional, easy to operate and coffee .. amazing and for this price!. I have ordered next day delivery, which I received as promised, quick, safe and efficient. I would recommend this item and seller to friends.

Probably a great product, but why was no filter included? I am still waiting to get it working!

After using an earlier model at a rented holiday villa, decided this was a "must have" item. On return assembled everything, filled with coffee (hawaian Kona) and tried to get going. No filter light starts flashing, hence no coffee. Check box, check manual, no filter in box send off to Bosch for filters. Still waiting....I am sure this a killer product, based on it's predecessor, but not including a filter is mean and stupid from a company of Bosch's standing. Also Amazon are at some fault for not flagging the omission, enabling one to buy the filters when making the initial purchase. I am frustrated but hopeful. All those looking to buy should also load up with Brita Intenza filters at the same time, and Amazon should flag this.
