Designed by Graves with clear references to the style of the kettle with bird (9093), this coffee maker is for preparing filtered coffee. With this method, boiling water is poured directly onto the coffee (finely or coarsely ground), and a filter is then used to strain out the coffee grounds. With its characteristics, this is excellent for making teas and infusions as well.

This is a small filter copy maker (hence the three cups are small), but it is well made and the normal Alessi quality. It matches other products by Michael Graves and, at time of purchase, was available at an excellent price.A larger coffee maker, otherwise identical, is also available.
