The De'Longhi Nespresso Lattissima Plus EN520.BL automatic coffee machine, in midnight blue, is a compact, stylish machine that not only makes amazing coffee but also would look great in any kitchen. It includes De'Longhi's patented Instant Froth Dispenser system (IFD), which allows you to not only create a variety of high-quality espresso-style drinks, but also to create milky drinks such as latte and cappuccino at the press of a single button.

The Lattissima plus uses premium Nespresso capsules for a fuss-free, consistently excellent espresso experience, perfect for people who want the time-saving benefits of a capsule system without sacrificing the quality of their finished coffee drink. Nespresso capsules are available in 12 blends, to suit all tastes.

The powerful 19 bar pressure of the Nespresso extraction system ensures that your espresso will have the ultimate crema, while the patented single-touch milk carafe is the easiest way to froth fresh milk for cappuccino and latte macchiato.

The illuminated keys and automatic controls allow you to choose between cappuccino, latte macchiato, espresso or long coffee in a simple and intuitive way, plus all drinks can be personalised and memorised by varying the quantity of milk and coffee.

The 0.35 ml milk carafe can be cleaned at the touch of a button and stored in the fridge while not in use, while the integrated collecting tank collects used capsules once automatically ejected.

The Lattissima also features an adjustable drip tray, to allow the use of both coffee cups and latte glasses, a cup warmer, a water level indicator, a thermoblock heating system and an energy-saving function. The thermoblock technology ensures a quick heat up time of 40 seconds, perfect for when you're in a rush.

Included with the coffee machine is a complimentary Nespresso Welcome Kit, which includes a coffee guide and 12 Nespresso capsules.

Stylish & Compact

I have never owned a coffee making machine before so I was a little unsure as to what to expect from the Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Plus Coffee Maker. My first surprise was the size of the fully assembled machine, its footprint on the worktop is not much more than that of the average cordless kettle. Height wise it fits comfortably under my wall units with the total height being only 14" with the lever for inserting coffee capsules fully lifted. The next pleasant surprise was the noise levels, I'd imagined it might sound like one of those machines they use in commercial coffee bars, it is actually comparable to an electric kettle boiling - maybe even a bit less noisy than that.Use of the machine is very easy with a well written instruction book that contains clearly labelled diagrams and easily understood instructions. Once set-up you can programme the machine to pour the correct amount of water for your cup or mug and you can do likewise for the amount of frothy milk that you want to add. The machine is by default set to turn itself off after 9 minutes of inactivity, this can be reprogrammed and there is an automatic scale alert. Cleaning is easily achieved using warm soapy water on the various parts that can be removed from the machine - none are dishwasher safe!The coffee comes in special capsules which unfortunately can only be bought online exclusively from the Nespresso Club (which is free to join). These capsules average out at about 30p each but you can only buy them in packets of 10 (called sleeves) with a minimum order of 5 sleeves - 50 capsules. Shipping costs start at £3.95 (orders over 20 sleeves) or £4.95 (orders under 20 sleeves) for standard 48hr delivery. There is an assortment of 16 different flavoured capsules supplied with the machine so plenty of opportunity to taste and decide which ones you like or dislike.Overall I found this machine to be excellent at making hot drinks with very little effort, noise or mess. It is extremely compact and very stylish and is made by a well respected company, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee.

This sleek machine produces delicious and fresh tasting espressos, cappuccinos and/or lattes at the touch of a button, and for a fraction of the cost of a Starbucks coffee. The Lattissima Plus is ready to use in just 40 seconds, and for such a powerful machine (19 bar pump/1300W power), it is surprisingly quiet.You can personalise and/or memorise your drink settings through varying the quantity of milk, coffee strength, and levels of froth. This produces results that are similar to what you would expect from a coffee shop, yet you can re-produce them time and time again from the comfort of your own home by simply pushing one button.It is also easy to clean, such that the milk carafe can be cleaned at the touch of a button, or detached from the machine to be stored in the fridge when not in use. There is also an automatic scale alert and clean program that makes cleaning hassle free. The coffee pods are automatically ejected into a collecting draw, making them easily disposable.Additional info:Detachable 1L capacity water tankIlluminated controlsStandby mode (Efficiency A)2 Year warrantyWhilst this isn't the cheapest machine on the market, it does possess some great features that other machines I have owned just haven't. Small but mighty, very impressed

This is the first coffee machine I have ever owned, as I am not normally a coffee drinker. I was impressed with it.First of all, it looks the part in the kitchen. Small and compact, I was actually surprised how compact it was. The design is typically Italian; good to look at, functional and sleek. Although plastic, it is heavy and seems nice and sturdy.Now my first attempt was to create a frothy hot chocolate with the capuccino milk attachment. This was upon the insistance of my children, so pandering to their pleas I set it up. I did not fill the water tank because I knew I was going to be using only milk. However, it turns out you cannot use this function by itself it can ONLY be used after the coffee maker part has done its stuff and as I realised later, it infuses the milk with hot water to create the foam effect. So we chose a coffee refill (a large selection pack is provided with the machine) and set it up to go. No waiting, no fuss, just fill up with water, put in the coffee capsule and press the button. Within about 30 seconds the coffee was in the cup. I then chose to turn it into a capuccino on high foam option and the milk froth adapter works perfectly, takes just a few seconds longer than the coffee. So within 2 minutes you have a tasty cup of coffee. The coffee spout is then automatically cleaned through using water, so no need to clean afterwards unless you do not use it often.Once we were off, we then tried the chocolate again, by making up a concentrated mixture at the bottom of the cup and topping up with the frothy milk. Lovely!! My kids adored this and it definitely got the thumbs up from them.Like I previously said, traditionally I more a tea drinker but this little machine may have converted me!This would be ideal for dinner parties as different coffee tastes could be catered for within minutes. The range of coffee that is available for it, is vast. I do hope they do a chocolate option one day.Give this a few whirls and you will be as good as any barista! Absolutely fantastic!
