Made by a designer not an engineer

The coffee maker brews very good coffee. However, the disign of the coffee grinder and the actual maker is very bad! When brewing coffee steam will be led to the mill whereby any coffee powder will be turned into pulp - this makes cleaning of the machine after each brew a requirement (as stated in the manual - funnily enough not in the product review online!!). This is another issue - seven (7) parts with a lot of nooks and crannies need to be cleaned - very bad design!!!

Coffee Machine

An affordable grind and brew coffee machine, not too noisy. Our previous one used to deafen us. This Cuisinart looks very nice as well as making a very decent cup of coffee. We could not afford to pay several hundred pounds for one and why should you when this more than does the job and with a decent guarantee so you can't go wrong. A winner every time.

Makes good coffee - has useful features. To be fair to other reviews you are never going to find a coffee machine that you do not have to take apart to clean but this one comes apart simply in seconds, the carafe opening is big enough to get a big hand in to clean thoroughly, all you need to do is rinse parts under the tap and leave to dry, "simple". My only 2 gripes are that the digital display could be a little bigger and the other is Cuisinart's big selling point is that most of their machines are finished in brushed stainless steel so that they coordinate - this one is plastic and made to look like brushed stainless, a reasonable facsimile but not quite the job, I suppose a sign of the times! "CUISINART YOU CHEAPSKATES"!NOW 6 MONTHS ON;Still makes good coffee but the plastic on the bottom of the machine is peeling?????
